Occasionally, I am tempted by candy or baked goods at the office. So far, I have been able to resist.
When somebody brings in some freshly baked blueberry muffins and I find myself looking wistfully towards the lunch table, I think about the carb hangovers I have read about, and realize that I don’t want to have to deal with any of that. I also never want to deal with that sugar headache again!
And more personally, I am going to a much-loved music festival in July, and I want to be 20lbs lighter for it so that I can enjoy it more. It will be hot, and there are long distances to cover on foot. I will enjoy it so much more if I am not lugging 2 bags worth of groceries around on me!
So far I am finding that setting this interim goal, and continuing to read online for inspiration have been a great combination for keeping me on track. I hope that this little blog will be a helpful motivator for some as well.
The reward of seeing the scale reverse itself is also a great motivator!

Please also note: I am not a doctor or nutritionist. While this LCHF and ketogenic diet experiment has worked well for me so far, your mileage may vary. This diet needs to be balanced correctly, in order to avoid potential side effects. It is always a good idea to discuss any major health decisions with your doctor before getting started.
