Progress!

Another 2 pounds down for a total of 38 pounds less than when I started on March 25th!

I had managed to lose one pound over the last 3 weeks, but that was all. The day after Christmas, I decided to get a jump start on trying the intermittent fasting, and BOOM! another pound came off very quickly!

Here is my new intermittent fasting routine (all meals are LCHF / Ketogenic): In the morning, I enjoy a cup of coffee with one teaspoon of sugar(!) and a good dollop of heavy cream (soon to be replaced with a spoonful each of ghee and coconut oil in order to remove the dairy, but keep the fat). That’s it until noon, when I eat a satisfying lunch. I have a small snack (if desired) at around 3pm, and then a hearty dinner (usually including one glass of wine) around 7-8pm. Another small snack (again, if desired) around 9. Then nothing until coffee again the next morning. Having just the coffee in the morning means I can stretch my overnight “fast” to a full 15 hours. I have been on this schedule for the last 4 days and I have not felt hungry at all, outside of my scheduled eating times. I am encouraged to see that pound come off so quickly. Hopefully, this trend will continue!

Please note: I am not a doctor or nutritionist. While this LCHF and ketogenic diet experiment has worked well for me so far, your mileage may vary. This diet needs to be balanced correctly, in order to avoid potential side effects. It is always a good idea to discuss any major health decisions with your doctor before getting started.
