Hello and thanks for stopping by! We’re laying pretty low around here this week, and working on some nagging projects outside of the social media world. Rather than skip posting this week, I am just going to point you all to something really delicious that I have found over on DJ Foodie’s site. If you are a foodie like me, you’ll love this site — DJ is a chef, and his “low primal” recipes are tasty and easy to follow with full macros for each ingredient! Thanks DJ!
Here is one of my favorite dairy and gluten free recipes for a cold winter’s night!
DJ Foodie: Coq-Au-Vin
Being mostly meat, this recipe is protein heavy, so if you are eating Keto, you might want to round things out with some extra vegetables or a nice big salad with some homemade dressing to add bulk without so much protein to each portion.
If you have time, definitely start this recipe ahead and allow for the overnight marinating that DJ offers in this fantastic recipe – it is worth it! I used our crock pot to marinate and finish cooking this the next day, and it worked wonderfully!

Please note: I am not a doctor or nutritionist. While this LCHF and ketogenic diet experiment has worked well for me so far, your mileage may vary. This diet needs to be balanced correctly, in order to avoid potential side effects. It is always a good idea to discuss any major health decisions with your doctor before getting started.
