Hi Folks, I’m back! Thanks to those who checked in during my absence. All is well!
I am self-employed, and maintain 3 separate projects to that end. Spring brought me a perfect storm of (much needed!) work on all 3! Whew! Thanks for your patience, and for sticking with me!
With all the chaos here, I am happy to say that I was able to stay on track! Thank goodness for clean-out-the-fridge-salads, omelets and simple/speedy dinner recipes! And ketones, of course! I do not supplement with any kind of instant ketone shakes, powders, etc. as I prefer a whole foods method, but I can now easily skip a meal when deadlines loom, without forfeiting energy/creativity.
I have lost another 8 lbs since I last wrote! My weight is now at a place where I feel comfortable adding on to my simple walking routine: Some light weights (dumbbell routine), and (working up to) planks. So far, I am erring on the side of taking it easy – I don’t want to pull something and get discouraged.
I have also heard from some of you who are beginning to see results of your own, and I am absolutely thrilled for you!!! It makes my day to read about your progress, so please do feel free to comment if you’ve got some good news for all of us!
Hope you are all enjoying a happy and healthy summer so far. Lots more to say, and I will check in again soon!
A word of caution: I am not a doctor or nutritionist. While this LCHF / Ketogenic diet experiment has worked well for me so far, your mileage may vary. This diet needs to be balanced correctly, in order to avoid potential side effects. It is always a good idea to discuss any major health decisions with your doctor before getting started.
